Light Setup For Bath Room

Light Setup For Room I am using Maya Default Software render  So i need a lots of light in this Scene for Direct Illumination

Light I Used....



There is 39 Light light in this Scene And Final Render Image Size Was 1472/828 With 300 Resolution and render time with dell Inspiron laptop 3GB Ram And Without graphic card was almost 5 min so i think it a good time with low configuration Pc.

 

Light In Scene



I gave some name for Lights like A1 TO A24 and P1 to P 11 P for pointLight and A for areaLight....



So there is two Light Out of Scene Out Side the Window One is Area Light And Second Is directional Light.....


Light Description



1> Key Light-   I am using directional light as key light. Sun is main source light so according this scene I applied some settings.
Color- worm orange, Intensity- 3 I am using depth map shadow with 2k resolution and low filter size…..


Final Effect of Key Light


 A13 (Sky Light)-: A13 containing two areaLight. One is outside from the window and second is inside window….outside area light working as sky illumination I did some experiments and finally I was happy with following settings….
Color -cool sky blue intensity -very low almost .1 because I scaled light so its working with this low intensity
Second areaLight I applied inside the window so I it’s giving more depth and illumination to Scene….

And I am using Depth Map Shadow with 128 to 256 resolution and almost 5-8 filter size

 Light Group A14,15, 16, 18- these light i m using for window illumination and floor illumination as you can see these all light placed  opposite to each other....

And I am using Depth Map Shadow with 128 to 256 resolution and almost 5-8 filter size 
and very low intensity almost 0.08....
so this Light illumination window, floor and as well as wall and wash....

Light Group A20 to A23- 
         These light  placed just opposite to window these light working as primary Bounce Light in this Scene....
Sky light Coming Through the Window hitting front wall and bouncing back.

A1 to A3 Light group...

These Light i kept just opposite to previous light group... b`cos if light is bouncing from front wall it will go in all direction and Bounce back......

Now there is Bit More Illumination in mirror and wash.......

A8 to A12-:

For this light group i copied front light and rotate 45 Degree and Placed just under the roof  These Lights Illuminating floor bit More And Alive......

Same Light Settings No Change in Light Attribute.....

A4 to A7:-
           For roof illumination i copies Roof Light And rotate 180 degree and places just above the ground
These light illuminating his final scene bit More lively 
same light setting with low resolution  shadow map and very low intensity

Light Group A17, A19, A24

 these light i place according darkness of Scene these 3-4 light giving brightness and lightness to Final Image

Same Light Setting bit Change in size and intensity According to the placement of light.....

P1 to P10- these light i places around the bathtub with liner decay  and almost 4 intensity

These light dont have any shadow or specular information.......

Showreel Scene Making Bathroom Light


 Bathroom Scene


Normal Texture:- Idea behind this Scene to Create normal and dirty texture for scene....




Basic Model

This is the Basic model for Bathroom scene. I used Autodesk Maya for Modeling, Shading, Lighting and Rendering. And for Composting Afx and Eyeon Fusion.





 Modeling was simple just basic bath room set up and bathroom elements.....


Shading

Next work was Shading part. to create a proper shade we need to know a lot about our object property and how light going to react with that particular object..

So i used basically used Blinn and Lambert  Shader and some texture files for wall.....











Light setup

light set was quite easy....
I am using Maya software render with ray-tracing.
i used almost 20 light for for direct illumination one directional Light as key light and others area Light spot light, and point Lights for direct lighting....

Rendering

I rendered this Scene in Passes to get more control during the composting.
Diffuse, Shadow, Specular, Reflation, Window Glow are main Passes. I didn`t use Ambient Occlusion for this Scene because I wanna finish this Scene With in Software Render....

Final render for Normal texture .....
